“Porcupine for tent, quintet, bows and elbows” by artist Ana Prvacki and composer Veronika Krausas is a commission by the Los Angeles Philharmonic and was performed as part of “Noon to Midnight,” in 2016. During this one-day festival of contemporary music, five members of the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s double bass section performed inside this giant tent of stretchy white fabric in the Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles. The piece was conceived by artist Ana Prvacki and created in collaboration with our design and production teams. New music was composed by Veronika Krausas.
We are excited to continue working with the LA Phil on a collaboration with artist and musician Chris Kallmyer for this seasons “Noon to Midnight”, opening November 18, 2017.
